FPV Drone Production by Top Country from 2020-2025

The global FPV drone manufacturing industry underwent substantial transformation between 2020 and 2025 as geopolitical developments, military modernization programs, and advancements in electronics manufacturing accelerated production capacity worldwide. China maintained its position as the dominant FPV drone manufacturing hub, increasing production from approximately 850 thousand units in 2020 to 3.4 million units in 2025. The country's leadership was supported by its extensive ecosystem of drone components, including batteries, motors, flight controllers, sensors, and communication modules.

Ukraine recorded the fastest production growth globally, rising from only 20 thousand units in 2020 to 3.0 million units in 2025, driven by wartime demand, government-backed manufacturing initiatives, and private-sector investments in unmanned systems. Russia also expanded production from 25 thousand units to 1.5 million units during the same period as domestic drone programs accelerated.

The United States increased FPV drone output from 180 thousand units in 2020 to 450 thousand units in 2025 through investments in defense innovation and domestic manufacturing capabilities, while Turkey strengthened its position as an emerging drone producer with production increasing from 40 thousand units to 250 thousand units. These developments highlight the growing strategic importance of FPV drone manufacturing capacity, localized supply chains, and defense-oriented industrial policies across major producing countries.
